On Saturday, July 12th at 10am, the Schrader campaign will be launching our first of a series of weekend canvasses throughout the 5th Congressional District.  The campaign will be partnering with several Democratic candidates for the Oregon House of Representatives and county Democratic Central Committees to go door-to-door throughout the district as we gear up for the general election.

The recent primary election on May 20th set new records for voter turnout, unfortunately many new Democrats only voted in the presidential race and left the rest of their ballot blank.

Democrats need to reach out to these voters and remind them that to make real progress, we need to focus on winning more than just the White House. On July 12th, we will be canvassing neighborhoods with especially high numbers of people who only voted in the presidential primary, and getting the word out about our Democratic candidates in other races.

In Salem we will meet at:
Marion County Democrats Office
250 Liberty St. SE (across from the Phoenix Grand Hotel) in Salem

We will also launch canvasses in Silverton, Dallas and Wilsonville.  Let us know which location would be the most convenient for you.  

We hope that you can spare a few hours on Saturday to talk with your Democratic neighbors about Kurt Schrader's campaign for U.S. Congress and the importance of electing Democrats on all levels.  Feel free to bring your friends and neighbors.
