Kate Brown returns to DemoForum on Wednesday, October 15 as the Demoratic nominee for Secretary of State.  She first appeared in October 2007 as she was starting her quest to secure the nomination.

The October 15 luncheon is the sixth in a series of weekly Demoform luncheons featuring our Democratic ticket during the fall campaign season.

State Senator Kate Borwn has served in the Oregon Legislature for last 16 years - 4 years as a representative and 12 years as a senator.  In the Senate, Kate served in the position of Democrat Leader and Majority Leader.  She holds the distinction of being the first woman  to hold the position of Majority Leader in the Oregon Senate.  In her roles as Democratic Leader and Majority Leader, Kate played a key role in moving the Senate Democrats from a 10-20 minority position to an 18-12 majority position.  In the May Democratic Primary, Kate Brown prevailed in a field of prominent Democrats.  She faces Republican Rick Dancer in the general election.
